Our journey, your empowerment
Welcome to House of Minds Empowerment (HOME). I’m Stephanie Jensen, LMSW, LCSW, founder and owner of HOME. My path to becoming a therapist began years ago when, during a period of profound anxiety, my mother—a highly respected psychologist—encouraged me to seek therapy. That year-long experience not only supported my own growth but also gave me firsthand insight into the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship. My passion for therapy deepened further when I began working in hospice care, where I had the privilege of witnessing some of life’s most profound moments—navigating grief, meaning, resilience, and loss alongside patients and their families. These experiences continue to shape my compassionate, client-centered approach to care.
Just like many of my clients, I've navigated my own therapeutic journey, learning the courage it takes to seek help and unlock one's fullest potential. Here, we believe in the power of inner growth and accessible support in Houston, Texas and it is my ultimate goal that all my clients walk away from this therapeutic journey more empowered.

Meeting you where you are
At House of Minds Empowerment, my unique approach centers on meeting you precisely where you are. I understand that life's circumstances can sometimes make traditional therapy challenging. That's why I offer personalized, compassionate counseling, including the option of in-home sessions for those who prefer or require it. Your comfort and accessibility are paramount to starting your journey towards well-being in Houston.

Supporting every stage of life
While I proudly serve individuals from all walks of life and backgrounds, my expertise shines brightest in supporting geriatric clients and immigrant communities. These populations often navigate unique challenges, from life transitions and loss to acculturation and systemic barriers. I'm dedicated to providing a safe, understanding space where these specific needs are addressed with empathy and cultural sensitivity, fostering resilience and connection within the Houston community.

Empowering your next chapter
My greatest hope for every client who completes their journey with House of Minds Empowerment is that they emerge feeling truly ready to embrace their lives. The therapeutic work we do together isn't just about coping; it's about building an inner compass, a sufficient guide to navigate future challenges. You'll gain clarity, strength, and the confidence to move forward, knowing you have the tools within you to thrive.
